Clive Pig storytelling session for parents

Indeed an entertaining storytelling session by Storyfella Clive Pig for the parents on 26th September's morning. Clive also shared tips on how parents can tell story (instead of just reading out from story books) to their children, and to add on the fun with various props including musical instruments.

We would like to thank Ms Ruth for organizing this session.

SST: Puberty Talk for Girls on September 26th, 2013

Many thanks to Dr Shanti, wife of SST PA Committee Dr Gunaseelan, for conducting a puberty talk to the Std 3 - Form 1 girls in the Drama Room. She shared with the girls on What is Puberty?, Changes During Puberty, and Molesting & Precautions to take. It was an informative and useful talk and the children were also given time to ask their questions.

SST: Malaysian Traditional Games on 25th September, 2013

In conjunction with Malaysia Day, SST allocated one period for each class to learn and experience four well-loved local traditional games, namely: Congkak, Guli, Batu Seremban and Lompat Getah. The games were organised and facilitated by members of the SST PA Committee. The children had lots of fun playing the simple but highly enjoyable games. We hope that they will continue playing and carry on this tradition to the next generation.

PA Coffee Morning on 23rd September, 2013

PA Coffee Morning on Monday 23/9/13 was an opportunity for 2012/13 PA Committee members – Adrian Hare, Alwin Thian, Angeline Tan, Devan Rajam, Edmund Loo, Elizabeth Wong, Gurmeet Sivalingam, Jageep Kaur, Poh Bee Koon and Simone Singh to take a bow, and allow for fresh nominations to take place for a new committee.

There was a brief re-cap of what the team has contributed to the school's community in partnership with the school to improve upon, namely in the area of :

1) Health and Safety

2) Traffic and Security

3) CCA , Sports and Library

4) Cafeteria

5) Events

We look forward to elect 12 parents into the 2013/14 PA Committee.

Nominations for the next committee closed at the end of that Monday itself, and the Election process will be published in Friday 27/9/13’s Parents’ Bulletin. Do also look out for a brief from each nominee on the PA notice board.
