Art Exhibition "PERSONAL JOURNEYS"

The community of Tenby Schools are cordially invited to the Art Exhibition of Tenby International School.

Each piece of artwork will be supported by all the research and development work which essentially tells the story of how the work was produced from conception to realization.

Our artists from Year 11 would be present during the Opening Reception to talk to you as well.

Those interested to take up Art for IGCSE would appreciate this exhibition being able to have first hand access to the art teachers and also the artists themselves. Ask the artists how have their journey been like, what inspired them, what is their future plan.

Parents and students of Tenby Schools who miss the Opening Reception may still visit the Art Exhibition during school hours. The last day of Exhibition is on Wednesday 19th June, 2013.

Update from Primary Servery

A sub-committee parent of Parents Association's Cafeteria Committee has reported on the following based on her observation during lunch breaks for Year 1, 2, 3 & 4.
16-May-2013 Thursday.

  • The portions for Year 1&2 look sufficient and the kids get second helpings quite easily.

  • Water was served today.

  • The fridge selling cold drinks do not have those packet fruit drinks anymore.

  • They were selling vitagen, yogurt drinks, milo, juices in cans (no cola, Pepsi, fizzy drinks except for 100 plus & Revive).

  • The queue for year 3 & 4 was orderly as cones were set up to maintain the flow.

  • There was a long queue for the first 10mins but everyone who bought food seemed to have enough time to finish because the seats were empty towards the last 10mins of lunch as the students went to play.

  • It appear to help that some 40% of the kids seem to bring packed lunches so it doesn't get so congested.

  • Another POS would be recommended to facilitate faster flow of the queue and  menu variety suggestion based on some comments from staff and parents.

Parents, we look forward to receiving feedback from you on how PA and the cafeteria operator can work on improving your child's meal time experience in the school.

If you are keen to join PA's Cafeteria sub-committee team, do write to us as well.

Senior Sports Day 2013 - TIS PA celebrates along.. (updated)

To ALL the Volunteer Mums and Dads....

The TIS PA would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the mums and dads who helped out at our very FIRST PA ‘Stalls' during the Senior School Sports Day.

It was great to see parents from both TIS and SST working together to feed many hungry and thirsty children...some of whom were there from early morning till finish time. It was truly a job WELL DONE in the true spirit of a united school. We sold NO junk food and NOTHING fried. Awesome!

We also offered free fun face painting and temporary chalk hair color to boost the school spirit and atmosphere.

We would like to sincerely Thank the following Parents for their kind assistance (in no particular order)...

Sarab, Rozie,  Edwina, Shreen, Wai Han, Lian, Mahinder Singh, Siva, Tak Seng, Mohan Kang, Kiren Kang, Rosi Hassan, Rozie Shah, Silvia Anggraeni,  Susannah Yeoh, Elizabeth Thomas, Casey, Mrs Cheng, Charlotte, Alicia, Cheah, Chelsea and Ivy.

Latest info:
We are happy to announce that the TIS-PA netted a profit of RM1,982.95 from the sales of F&B at the Stadium. This amount will be placed in the TIS-PA Funds, to be used for future activities.
A big Thank You to all the Students and Parents who purchased the coupons and patronage our stalls.
