Update from Primary Servery

A sub-committee parent of Parents Association's Cafeteria Committee has reported on the following based on her observation during lunch breaks for Year 1, 2, 3 & 4.
16-May-2013 Thursday.

  • The portions for Year 1&2 look sufficient and the kids get second helpings quite easily.

  • Water was served today.

  • The fridge selling cold drinks do not have those packet fruit drinks anymore.

  • They were selling vitagen, yogurt drinks, milo, juices in cans (no cola, Pepsi, fizzy drinks except for 100 plus & Revive).

  • The queue for year 3 & 4 was orderly as cones were set up to maintain the flow.

  • There was a long queue for the first 10mins but everyone who bought food seemed to have enough time to finish because the seats were empty towards the last 10mins of lunch as the students went to play.

  • It appear to help that some 40% of the kids seem to bring packed lunches so it doesn't get so congested.

  • Another POS would be recommended to facilitate faster flow of the queue and  menu variety suggestion based on some comments from staff and parents.

Parents, we look forward to receiving feedback from you on how PA and the cafeteria operator can work on improving your child's meal time experience in the school.
